
Tennis Defeats Arizona on the Road, 5-2

The Buffaloes (2-6) won for the first time since Feb. 6 and extended the Wildcats (5-6) losing streak to six matches.
CU won the doubles point for the fourth time this season with Abbie Probert and Gleisy Torres Torres winning at No. 3, as did Melisa Esposito and Franziska Jendrian at No. 2.
With a 1-0 advantage, CU claimed three of the four singles slots in straight sets.
Camila Belassi broke a three-match losing and defeated Claire Rietsch, 6-3, 6-1 at No.2; Gleisy Torres Torres, also broke a three-match skid defeating Natalia Toporowska 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3; as did Melisa Esposito edging Ariane Masschelein 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5.
Veera Nurmi won her fourth of five matches, winning in three sets over Jane Huh 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
Overall, Torres Torres and Nurmi claimed their 64th and 63rd career triumph, respectively.
