Throwers Compete at Oregon Relays

Begley had CU's highest finish Saturday as he finished fourth in the men's shot put with a throw of 50-06.75. He also placed sixth in the men's discus with a throw of 165-10. His third top-10 finish was in the men's hammer throw when he recorded a throw of 174-07, which was good enough for an eighth place finish.
Senior Chase Dukes also had an impressive day as he led the Buffs in the hammer throw. He recorded a new personal best with his throw of 184-05, he crushed his old record by over 10 feet as his old pr was 173-11. His throw as good for fifth place and just missed an NCAA regional qualifying mark (186-4).
Sophomore Patrick Bachmann also had a top-10 finish at the Oregon Relays, as he placed eighth in the discus with a throw of 153-09.
