Buffs Compete At RMAC Open

DENVER, Colo. ? The University of Colorado cross country team had a pair of individuals competed at the RMAC Open at Washington Park in Denver, Colo., on Saturday.
Matt Biegner led the Buffsin the 8-kilometer men's race with a time of 27 minutes and 48 seconds. He was 30th overall. Stephen Kasica was 33rd overall, coming in at 27:57.
Colorado had several athletes compete unattached in both the men's and women's races as well.
The 2009 Big 12 Cross Country Championship is the next meet for the Buffs. The championship is set for Saturday, October 31, in Columbia, Mo. The women's race is set for a 9 a.m. start, while the men will follow at 10 a.m. The CU women are ranked No. 3 and the men are ranked No. 4.
