Colorado is 7-2 through nine games for the second time in three years (2007-08).
The Buffaloes are a perfect 6-0 at home, their best start to the home schedule since winning their first eight at home in 2003-04.
Colorado changed its lineup for the first time in eight games as senior guard Bianca Smith made her first start of the season and 57th of her career. She replaced senior center Courtney Dunn who had started the previous seven games. It was the third different starting lineup for the Buffaloes this season.
Colorado's 53 points in the first half were its most in any half since scoring a similar 53 mark in the first half of a 92-65 win over Northern Colorado on Feb. 13, 2006.
Colorado's 42 point halftime lead (53-11) tied for the second largest in team history. The Buffaloes also held a 42 point lead against Colorado State on Nov. 16 1979 (63-21). The school record is a 44 point lead CU had against Bowling Green on Nov. 23, 2001 (53-9).
Southern Utah's 11 first half points tied for the fifth fewest by a CU opponent in any half. The school record is 8 set against Kansas State on March 7, 1992 (46-8).

Colorado's final winning margin of 52 points are CU's most since a 96-44 win over Bowling Green on Nov. 23, 2001.
Colorado reached 80 points for the third straight home game (84.0 ppg). It's the first time CU has scored 80-plus in three straight at home since the final two games of the 2002-03 season (NCAA Tourney wins over BYU and North Carolina) and the 2003-04 season opener (Old Dominion).
Southern Utah's 36 total points tied for the 10th fewest allowed in team history and the fewest since giving up 35 to Kansas on Jan. 16, 2002.
Bianca Smith became the fourth player in team history to reach 200 3-point field goals, hitting both attempts against Southern Utah. She now has 201 and needs three more to pass Jenny Roulier (1998-02) for third place on CU's all-time list.
Brittany Spears was 2-of-3 from 3-point range. She has hit 10 of her last 14 (.714) from 3-point range, spanning three games. Spears tied a season high with 10 field goals hitting 10-of-15 (.667). Spears has made 29 of her last 52 field goal attempts (.558).
Kelly Jo Mullaney was 1-of-1 from downtown. She now has five 3-pointers on the season through nine games, after making just nine in 28 games in 2008-09.
Julie Seabrook had a season-best seven rebounds.
