Colorado narrows Stanford's lead in the series to 9-8. The Buffaloes have won the last five and 5-of-7 against the Cardinal since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12. CU has won its last three in Maples Pavilion.

The win over Stanford snapped a 5-game losing streak on the back-end of two-game road trips in the Pac-12; CU is now 5-12 in such games (1-3 in 2011-12; 2-2 in 2012-13; 1-3 in 2013-14; 0-4 in 2014-15; 1-0 in 2015-16).

Colorado outrebounded Stanford 43-29, giving the Buffaloes the edge on the boards for the 13th time in 15 games.

Colorado's 56 points were its fewest in a conference win since defeating Oregon 48-47, in Eugene, on Feb. 7, 2013.

Colorado had eight assists on its first 10 baskets, compared to just dishing out a total of six Friday at California. The Buffaloes ended up with 14 assists on the night.

Colorado led 37-27 at the break, its first halftime lead away from home this season.

Better Start: Colorado shot 50 percent (10-of-20) in the first 20 minutes and outrebounded Stanford 14-7. Friday at Cal, the Buffaloes hit just 24 percent (7-of-29) and was outrebounded 25-15 by the Bears.

Josh Scott (14 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals) recorded his seventh double-double of the season and 30th of his career, putting him alone in ninth place on CU's all-time list. His three assists and two steals both tied season highs. He also moved into sole possession of sixth in career starts with 104.

Thomas Akyazili (5 assists, 3 rebounds, 0 turnovers) career-high five assists. He has 11 over the last three games (3.7 apg) and only one turnover in that span. He also tied a personal best with three rebounds.

Josh Fortune (10 points, 3-of-5 3FG) recorded his eighth game with at least three 3-pointers and his ninth game in double-digits. Fortune has hit 11-of-19 from 3-point range over the last three games (.579).

Wesley Gordon (6 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks) moved into 26th place in career rebounding with 524. Gordon had nine rebounds in both games this weekend. He recorded multiple blocks for the eighth time this season.
