CU Looks For First Conference Win Against WSU and UW

BOULDER- Colorado's tennis team (8-5) and (0-2) in the Pac-12 looks to get their first conference wins this weekend as they are back in Boulder to face Washington State University on Friday (1:30 p.m. MT) and No. 38 ranked Washington on Sunday (11:00 a.m. MT).
The Buffaloes are coming off two tough Pac-12 road losses on their trip to Arizona against University of Arizona and Arizona State.
Nurla Omeño Ruiz is leading the team posting a 16-9 overall record for the season thus far and is 7-5 at the No.1 singles position. Jeannez Daniel is posting an impressive record of 8-1, and is 2-0 at the No. 2 position. Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Ilana Oleynik have paired for a 5-3 record and are 2-3 at No. 2 doubles position while Chloe Hule and Louise Ronaldson have a 2-5- record at the No.1 position.
Washington State University (9-6, 0-1 Pac-12) enters the weekend on a three game losing streak against No. 36 ranked Oregon, No.7 ranked Oklahoma State, and No. 42 ranked UNLV. The Cougars come off an impressive (17-9) overall record in the ('15-'16) season beating the Buffaloes 6-1. CU looks for redemption this Friday in Boulder to hand Washington State their seventh loss of the year.
University of Washington ranked No. 38 (11-4, 0-1 Pac-12) comes into the weekend losing a nail biter match to No. 36 ranked Oregon 3-4 last Friday. The Huskies will be eager to even up their conference record on Sunday in Boulder.
The Buffaloes look to beat a ranked team for the first time this season while starting a win streak as they get into the heart of Pac-12 play in the next weeks.
