Hall Wins Third Straight Javelin Title

BOULDER – University of Colorado sophomore Delaney Hall took home her third straight javelin event title here Friday at the first day of the CU Invite.

WHAT HAPPENED
Hall, who took the event title at both the Fum McGraw and Tom Benich added yet another Friday tossing a 141-5.5/43.11 mark. Hall's PR came at the Tom Benich Invite last weekend where she threw a 145-6/44.36 mark. That PR mark of 14-6/44.36 is currently the No. 35 throw in the NCAA West Region and if it stands Hall will advance to the West Regionals in Austin, Texas. Also in the javelin, teammate Elisa Grandemange placed third with a mark of 128-8.75/39.23.

On the men's side, Isaiah Oliver threw a PR mark of 152-0.75/46.34 to finish seventh in the javelin. Oliver out threw his previous PR from last season by over 10 meters (113-7/34.63). Teammate Andrew Ghizzone finished in eighth place with a mark of 138-2.5/24.12. Freshman Sarah Hopkins took second in the triple jump with a mark of 37-5/11.40.

UP NEXT:
The Buffs will continue action at the CU Invite tomorrow, Saturday April 8 at 11:00 a.m. MT. Saturday's events will start with the shot put, discus, pole vault, long jump, high jump and 3,000 meter Steeplechase.Â
