Women Second, Men Seventh In USTFCCCA Preseason Poll

BOULDER — The University of Colorado women's cross country team has been picked second overall in the USTFCCCA Preseason Poll, while the men were selected seventh.
The women recorded 317 points, 13 behind the preseason favorite and defending NCAA Champion, New Mexico. Right behind the Buffs with 306 points is Stanford. Another Pac-12 team, Oregon, is fourth (287). Boise State (285) rounds out the top five.
The men picked up 270 points for seventh place, just seven points behind sixth-rated Alabama (277). The defending national champion, Northern Arizona, recorded 330 points, while the third-place finisher, BYU, came in second (312). The 2018 NCAA runner-up, Portland, was picked third overall (301). The highest Pac-12 team in the poll is Stanford, coming in at fourth (292). Iowa State is the fifth place team with 280 points.
In the regional polls the women were ranked second, just behind UNM, while the men were third behind Northern Arizona and BYU.
