Colorado Ranked In Final ITA Polls Of Season

BOULDER – Colorado earned a final ranking of No. 71 and two Buffaloes doubles teams finished the season in the final women's tennis individual rankings, the ITA announced earlier this week.
The Buffs final team ranking of No. 71 marks the second-straight season the Buffs are ranked in the final poll, also finishing the 2022-23 season at No. 61. This version of the Buffs fell out of the rankings after being No. 75 on April 9, and moved back in on the strength of a second-place finish in the NIT.
This is the eighth poll the Buffs were ranked in throughout the season, the most since the 2014-15 season. This is the first time the Buffs have appeared in the final poll in back-to-back seasons since 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons.
The doubles team of Aya El Sayed and Pia Rebec finished the season ranked No. 55 in the nation while Mila Stanojevic and Elys Ventura were ranked No. 83. El Sayed and Rebec were ranked in five polls, the most since the 2014-15 season and in that poll were joined by Ema Bubalo and Anya Nelson, who were ranked No. 70.
This is the first time two doubles teams were ranked in the final poll since the 2010-11 season and the first time since the 2009-10 season that three doubles teams were ranked at one point in the season and first time in CU history that six different players were ranked in doubles at one point in the season.
With the team's 2-1 record at the NIT, the Buffs won two post season matches in back-to-back years for the first time in program history and the team's 14 dual match wins is the most in 21 seasons. CU compiled a 13-1 mark against teams outside the Pac-12 throughout the season and had a school-record 11 match win streak and perfect February, compiling a 9-0 record.
