Buffs Run Through Broncos, 83-53

November 18, 2025 | Women's Basketball

BOULDER – Colorado women's basketball (3-1, 0-0 Big 12) defeated Boise State (3-1, 0-0 Big Sky), 83-53, at the CU Events Center on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

The Black and Gold delivered the Broncos' first loss of their season, outscoring them 25-9 in the first quarter. The Buffs put on a show, holding the Broncos under 15 points in three quarters and below 20 points in all four. CU took the game by 30 points, 83-53.

"Really proud of our team tonight," head coach JR Payne said. "I thought we played exceptionally hard. People have been saying to us, 'man, your team plays really hard.' I thought tonight we played really hard. It didn't matter what part of the game it was. We were diving for loose balls and competing on the glass. And I thought that was incredible. Love the assist-to-turnover ratio. Eighteen to nine is so good. Our three point guards, I think we had 13 assists, three turnovers, which is exceptional. Very balanced, I think we just continue to see that throughout the season, that we have great balance scoring, great balance rebounding, and then also great balance in the assist numbers, which is just so fun to play. It's fun to play like that when everybody's sharing the ball."

Colorado had a higher field goal percentage (53.3%-39.1%), more assists (18-12), more steals (13-4), more rebounds (33-29) and more blocks (2-0) than Boise State.
