Buffs Fall to Aggies in Hawaii North Shore Showcase, 59-46
November 25, 2025 | Women's Basketball
Redshirt junior Zyanna Walker reached 600 career points and 300 career rebounds
LAIE, Oahu – Colorado women's basketball (5-2, 0-0 Big 12) fell to Texas A&M (5-1, 0-0 SEC), 59-46, at the George Q. Cannon Activities Center in its final game of the Hawaii North Shore Showcase on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
The Buffs worked to overcome an early Aggies lead, ending the first half up one point, 25-24, after outscoring A&M 16-9 in the second quarter. CU led for a majority of the third quarter, but a late third quarter Aggie run put them up at the break. A&M refused to give up its lead in the fourth quarter, and took the game, 59-46.
"That's definitely our issue right now, it's lack of organization," head coach JR Payne stated. "When we're struggling to score, we have players that can score, but we're just unorganized, and ultimately that's my fault. I [have] to make sure that everyone knows what they're doing, and we don't right now. We [have] to make sure that we clean that up."
CU had more offensive rebounds (11-10), bench points (17-11) and points in the paint (26-16) than A&M. Colorado also held A&M to 13% from beyond the arc in the first half.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Colorado was the first to score when Sanders was fouled and made a free throw after nearly two minutes without either team scoring. Texas A&M followed up with a 10-0 run, though Dutat managed a steal and Masogayo a defensive rebound. Dutat ended the drought for the Buffs, scoring on a fast break layup (10-3, A&M). A&M scored again, but Greer made it to the line and sank both her free throws to keep CU in it (12-5, A&M). The Black and Gold struggled on offense as the Aggies went up by 10 (15-5, A&M). Greer and Walker each made layups to stop A&M's momentum and narrow the lead with a little over a minute and a half to go, being the last to score in the first frame (15-9, A&M).
- The Buffs came out hot in quarter two, with Sanders making a layup courtesy of a Crook steal, and Walker scoring from beyond the arc (15-14, A&M). After some back and forth, Sanders made it back to the free throw line, tying it up (15-15). Dutat had a layup, and Walker dialed it up from long distance for the Buffs to get in the lead (20-17, CU). A&M scored again, but Crook answered with a basket from deep (23-19, CU). Greer picked up a block as the Aggies had a layup and a 3-pointer, but Walker scored with one second remaining in the half to put the Black and Gold in the lead (25-24, CU).
- Sanders opened scoring in the second half with a second-chance 3-pointer after Greer grabbed an offensive board (28-24, CU). Masogayo then had a steal, and Greer made a layup (30-24, CU). Walker and A&M exchanged pumpers after A&M made one of two free throws (32-27, CU). The Aggies picked up an offensive foul, allowing Masogayo to score in the paint (34-27, CU). A&M scored on back-to-back possessions to get within three (34-31, CU). Walker laced a pull-up jumper to stave off the Aggies, and Sanders got to the line for a free throw (37-33, CU). Texas A&M scored the last three baskets of the quarter, ending the third up three (40-37, A&M).
- Both teams played a highly defensive game after A&M's first 3-pointer of the quarter, with neither team scoring for over three minutes (43-37, A&M). A&M drew a foul, sinking two free throws, before Greer was fouled on a made layup for the and one (45-40, A&M). A&M made another three, but Wooten was there to score for the Buffs in the paint (48-42, A&M). Masogayo narrowed the Aggies' lead to four on a layup, assisted by Wooten (48-44, A&M). Wooten continued to go to work for the Buffs, making another layup off a Sanders assist (51-46, A&M). A final 3-point jumper and a series of free throws gave the victory to the Aggies on an 8-0 run, 59-46.
