Big 12 Announces Men’s Basketball Schedule

Buffs Open Big 12 Play Jan. 3 at Arizona State
BOULDER – The Big 12 Conference announced the league men's basketball schedule for all 16 teams on Tuesday.
Big 12 teams will play 18 conference games, two fewer than last season, broken down by home-and-home series with three opponents and single games with the other 12: six home and six away. Opponents were selected to achieve the best balance of the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness.
Colorado will play a home-and-home series with Arizona State, Utah, and 2025 NCAA Elite Eight participant Texas Tech, with the first leg of each of those series coming in the first three games of the conference season.
Colorado opens the second season of its second tour in the Big 12 on the road, at Arizona State on Saturday, Jan. 3. The Big 12 home opener comes four days later against Utah on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Then the Red Raiders visit the CU Events Center for the first time since March 2010, on Saturday, Jan. 10.
The home-and-home series with Arizona State is the only one that repeats the Buffaloes' Big 12 pairings from last season. Colorado will host the Sun Devils during the second half of the league schedule, on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Seven of Colorado's nine home opponents advanced to postseason play in 2024-25. The Buffaloes have single home games with Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU and UCF.
The Kansas game sits near the middle of the Big 12 schedule, on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The Buffaloes will host Arizona on Senior Day, Saturday, March 7.
Oklahoma State and Kansas State will visit the CU Events Center for the first time since the 2010-11 season in back-to-back games on Saturday, Feb. 21, and Wednesday, Feb. 25, respectively.
The Buffaloes have single road contests at BYU, Baylor, NCAA runner-up Houston, Cincinnati, West Virginia and Iowa State. West Virginia will be the final venue that Colorado has yet to visit among current Big 12 teams, with that game on Saturday, Jan 17, three days after the Buffaloes visit Cincinnati for the first time since December 1981 (Wednesday, Jan. 14).
Colorado's game at NCAA runner-up Houston comes near the end of the regular season as the Buffs make their way to the UH campus for the first time since December 1994 on Saturday, Feb. 28.
