Winning Attitude Program - Official Contest Rules

OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

1. SPONSORS: CenturyLink, Root Sports, and CU Athletics

2. RESPONSIBILITY: All legal responsibilities of a contestant under these official rules will be assumed by the contestant's parent or legal guardian.

3. ENTRY: Contestants must enter by email or postal mail only. No other entries will be accepted. Email entries to cupromos@colorado.edu or mail to CU Athletic Marketing, Winning Attitude, 369 UCB, Stadium 100, Boulder, CO 80309. E-mail entries should be submitted on a Microsoft Word file attached to the email message. At the top of the first page of the entry, include the contestant's name, the contestant's city and state, and a valid email address or parent/guardian phone number.

4. LIMITATIONS: Entries must be the original work of the contestant, must not infringe upon third party rights, nor previously have won awards nor have been published. Open only to children residing in the state of Colorado in grades 6, 7 or 8. Employees of the Sponsors or their parent and affiliated companies are ineligible. The Sponsors are not responsible for Entries from persons not in grades 6, 7 or 8, or for inaccurate, fraudulent, incomplete, stolen, lost, illegible, or late entries, each of which will be disqualified. Void where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

5. PRIZES: Ten (10) prizes consisting of 100 tickets and 100 food coupons for themselves and their classmates to a CU home football or men's basketball game, as well as a $1,000 donation for their school and recognition at the game. Among the ten winners one will win the grand prize of a school-wide pep rally at grand prize winnerGÇÖs school. The pep rally will include an emcee from Root Sports and appearances by CU Head Coaches, student-athletes, cheerleaders and pep band. The grand prize winner will also receive an additional $2,500 contribution from CenturyLink for their school.

6. PROCEDURES: Contest begins August 22, 2011 and ends January 13, 2012. Entries will be judged by a judging committee made up of representatives from CenturyLink, Root Sports, and CU Athletics. Entries will be judged on several criteria including the initiative and leadership role of the student, the impact of the activity and the difference it made in the community. All decisions made by the judges are final.

7. CONDITIONS: By entering this Contest, each contestant agrees that: [1] he/she will be bound by the Rules and the SponsorsGÇÖ decisions; [2] the Entry will not be acknowledged or returned; [3] neither the Sponsors, nor any of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents or representatives are responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize or participation in this Contest or in any activity related thereto.

8. PRIZE ACCEPTANCE: By accepting a prize, each prize winner irrevocably assigns and transfers to Sponsors and its assigns all rights in the Prize-Winning Entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights. Additionally, each prize winner grants to Sponsor and its assigns the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such Prize Winning Entry in any way and in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration to contestant.
