High School: A three-sport athlete (track, cross country, softball) at Canon City High School, Madone’s track team was regional champions in 1999 and 2000, while her cross country squad was regional champions from 1998-99 as well second-place finishers in the state in 1999. In addition, she was a four-y ear state qualifier in track and a two-time state qualifier in cross country. She was the South Central League 100-m hurdle champion as a junior and senior, as well as the Pueblo Challenge Cup 300-m hurdle champion and Blossom Invitational 100-m hurdle champ as a senior. Madone was a three-time member of the Gold Honor Roll and one-time member of the Silver Honor Roll.

Personal: Jillian Marie Madone was born to parents John and Shae Madone in Canon City, Colo. on January 31, 1984. Older brother Michael is a senior architecture student at CU. Madone was on the Dean’s List in her first semester at Colorado and intends to major in psychology/education in preparation for her desired profession as an elementary school teacher. Her hobbies include kayaking, rafting, skiing, climbing, hiking and camping. She was a raft guide on the Arkansas River over the summer months.
