2000 Big 12 Outdoor 10,000 Meters Champion

2003 Track & Field: A long distance runner, Moody competed in the 1,500, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000-meter runs during the outdoor season. She earned a pair of fourth place finishes at the Jim Click Invite (1,500-m, 4:42.04) and Pepsi Team Invitational (3,000-m, 9:49.20), and first place at the CU Twilight (3,000-m,10:18.56). She also competed at the Big 12 Championships in the 5,000 and 10,000-meter runs, taking 13th place in the 5,000 (17:51.25) and sixth in the 10,000 (36:50.40).

2002 Track & Field: In the indoor 3,000 meter run, Moody finished third (10:02.84) and 12th (9:55.55) in the Air Force Invitational and the Big 12 Championships, respectively. She also placed eighth in the 5,000 meter run at the Husker Invitational (17:36.26). Moody finished first in the outdoor 1,500 meters at the Colorado Invitational (4:40.8) and the Air Force Quadrangular (4:42.83) and fifth at the ASU Invitational (4:36.84) where she recorded her season best in the event. Moody place second in the outdoor 3,000 meters at the Air Force Quadrangular (10:25.66). At the Big 12 Championships, she placed third in the 10,000 meters (35:33.58) and 13th in the 5,000 meters (17:47.88). Moody was sixth in the triple jump at the Air Force Quadrangular (30-00).

2001 Track & Field: Moody did not have the year she was expecting to have after being a part of the 2000 National Cross Country Championship team and winning the Big 12 Outdoor 10,000 meter run. She participated in the 800 meter run, mile run, 3,000 meter run, as well as the 5,000 meter run throughout the indoor season for the Buffs. Moody, however, did not participate during the outdoor season due to injury.

2000 Track & Field: Was a provisional qualifier in the 3,000 meters indoors with her time of 9:34.94 at the Big 12 Championships, good for sixth, but did not advance to the NCAA meet. Outdoors, Moody was the Big 12 10,000 meter champion, running a personal best of 34:50.43, a provisional mark. She also earned a provisional qualifying mark in the 5,000 meters, taking 17th at the Stanford Invitational in March in a time of 16:42.11.

High School: Moody lettered four years in cross country and track (800, 1,600 and 3,200-m distances) for coaches Tom Roderick and Sandi Padjen, respectively. She was an All-Upstate Eight Conference cross country performer her freshman through senior seasons, as well as an all-state runner from 1995-1998 in cross country. Her St. Charles cross country team was the Illinois State Champions in 1997 and 1998. She repeated her all-conference distinction all four years in track and was an all-state pick on the track her sophomore through senior campaigns. She made the 1997 United States Junior World Cross Country Team that competed in Turin, Italy. She qualified for the team following a fifth-place effort in the USA Junior World Cross Country Trials in Houston.

Personal: Tera Lynn Moody was born Dec. 18, 1980 in St. Charles, Ill. Her parents are William and Clera Moody of St. Charles.
