Career:  Finished her CU career ranked 36th all-time in singles wins (46) and winning percentage (.554), and 40th in combined singles and doubles wins (72).
 
2016 Spring (Senior): Posted a 9-13 singles record and won two Pac-12 matches • battled a wrist injury throughout the season that required surgery after the season • had a team-best 4-0 record at the No. 4 singles position • earned a 6-2, 6-2 win over Southern California’s Paige Keating in the first round of the Pac-12 Invitational Championships • helped the Buffs to a season-opening 6-1 win over Air Force with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Jocelle Rudico at No. 5 • helped the Buffs to a win over UTEP with a three-set win over Matilda Tench on Jan. 24 at No. 6 • moved back up to No. 5 in the lineup and won 6-2, 6-2 over Denver’s Evy Van Genechten on Jan. 30 and won in straight sets against Boise State on Jan. 31 for a three-match winning streak • helped CU upset No. 59 Arizona 4-3 with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Camila Wesbrooks on March 13 at No. 3 • also had a Pac-12 victory against Oregon’s Paloma Gomez in another 4-3 team victory when she won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 • paired with teammate Brigitte Beck for doubles wins against UTEP and Kansas State.
 
2015 Fall (Senior): Competed in the ITA Mountain Region championships, but missed the rest of the fall with an injury • went 1-2 in singles matches • swept Megan Rindlisbacher from Weber State 6-1, 6-1 in consolation.
 
2015 Spring (Junior): Tied for the team lead with 18 singles matches for the year • Tied for second with 12 spring victories • Six wins at No. 4, second most victories at any singles position • Six-match singles winning streak (Feb. 7-Mar. 1) • Became the first CU woman to reach Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinal singles main draw (invitational bracket) • Also became first CU woman to win a pair of singles matches in three sets, twice – both on same day • Upset No. 8 seed Kristin Wiley (UCLA) 3-6, 6-2, 7-5, then defeated Alexia Petrovic (Utah) 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 • Named CU Athlete of the Week (April 20-26) for her outstanding play at Pac-12s • Clinched her first career CU team win against Boise State (Mar. 1) in straight sets • In doubles, teamed with Nuria Ormeño Ruiz, to become first CU doubles team to reach Pac-12 main draw semifinals (invitational bracket) • Aiello/Ormeño Ruiz defeated Stanford’s Hardebeck/Wolak and Arizona State’s Osbourne/Sahagun, both by 8-6 scores • Won a team-best 15 doubles matches for the year, including tying for a team-high eight victories in the spring • Six of her eight dual doubles win occurred at No. 2 with senior Ashley Tiefel • Won her first six dual doubles matches of the season with Tiefel • Clinched a pair of doubles team wins with Tiefel against Northern Colorado (Jan. 24) and an upset over then-No. 66 Kansas State (Jan. 31) • With a pair of wins in the fall and six in the spring, Aiello/Tiefel won the most doubles as a CU pair all season (eight).
 
2014 Fall (Junior): Tied a team-best seven doubles wins with two others and tied for the team-high in singles with six • Reached the ITA Mountain Region Round of 16 singles with pair of wins • Also reached Round of 16 play at the Dick Vitale Invitational in Orlando defeating Laurence Guevremont of Tennessee 7-6(1), 5-7, 6-3 • Played with three different doubles partners for her seven wins.
 
2014 Spring (Sophomore): Named the team’s Most Improved Player after winning 19 singles matches, second highest on the team • Claimed nine wins during the spring, third most, all at the No. 2 position • Missed the last seven matches of the spring season due to an injury • Opened spring play with seven straight singles victories with five of them in straight sets • Won a pair during the win streak rallying from a set down • Played a team-high nine, three set matches, winning a team-best seven (.778) • Won four doubles matches, all at No. 2 • Teamed with Carla Manzi Tenorio to clinch the team’s doubles point against Ball State (Mar. 2).
 
2013 Fall (Sophomore): First year with the Buffaloes after transferring from Syracuse • Won a team-best 10 matches, including seven in a row (Oct. 11-Nov. 9) • Won three straight singles matches en route to the Silver Bracket title defeating Emily Oliver of New Mexico, 7-4, 4-6, 6-4 at the UNM Invitational (Nov. 1-3) • Five of her 10 victories came in three sets with two of the five occurring when rallying from a set down  • On the doubles court went 5-5 • One of two sophomores on the CU roster • Earned CU Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 4-10).
 
2012-13 (Syracuse): Singles record of 4-3 and went 3-2 in doubles during dual play • Won all four singles matches at No. 6.

USTA National Junior Tennis (Florida): Ranked among the Top-20 in the U-18 division • Winner of the Sectional U-18 • Ranked among the Top-15 among the U-16 division • Member of the 16’s Florida Zonal team.
 
Personal: Born Alexandra Marie Aiello on October 13, 1993 • Daughter of Bob and Robyn Aiello • Comes from an athletic family, father played lacrosse at Maryland, and mother, played tennis at South Alabama • Did not play high school tennis • Two-time Honor Society recipient • Enjoys cooking, reading, going to the beach and being outside.
 
In the Classroom: College major is journalism • Future endeavor is becoming a sports reporter for Sports Illustrated.
