Bio
2017-18 (SOPHOMORE): Hule finished her sophomore season 13-14 in singles and 15-10 in doubles. She made the jump to No. 2 singles after playing mostly No. 4 and 5 as a freshman, and still earned eight dual wins, including two in the Pac-12. Hule opened the season by going 2-1 at the CU Invitational as she was eliminated in the semifinals by Jeannez Daniel. She had two more four-match winning streaks in singles play during the spring. She picked up back-to-back wins in Pac-12 play on March 9 and 11. She defeated Arizona’s Camila Wesbrooks 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 and then won 6-3, 6-1 over No. 34 Arizona State’s Ilze Hattingh. In doubles play, she and Brigitte Beck competed at the No. 1 position most of the season and had an 11-6 record together, including 4-4 at No. 1 and 5-0 at No. 2. The duo won 10 straight matches from Jan. 15 to March 11, tied for the eight-longest winning streak for a doubles pair in school history. They also had three wins in Pac-12 play, including back-to-back wins over Arizona and No. 34 Arizona State. They defeated UA’s Mary Lewis and Marie Van Aelst 6-4 on March 9 and then won 6-1 over ASU’s Nicole Fossa Huergo and Tereza Kolarova two days later. Hule and Beck also shocked Utah’s 65th-ranked Jena Cheng and Alexia Petrovic 6-0 on April 21, leading CU to a 4-3 win in the match with the team’s first win over Utah since joining the Pac-12. It was also the only win over a ranked opponent for a CU doubles team.
