STRANDEMO, SALL PACE BUFFS IN DENVER

The Colorado tennis team received victories from Kendra Strandemo and Morgan Sall at the #1 and #2 singles, respectively, but dropped six matches to Colorado State on the second day of the Denver Challenge at Denver's Stapleton Tennis Pavilion. Team scores were not recorded by rule during the fall tourney featuring Denver, Colorado and Colorado State.
Strandemo, who teamed up with Kristy Randono to defeat Colorado State's Dasha Zhurin and Carla Pallares yesterday during doubles action, won 6-1, 6-3 against Zhurin during the morning meeting between the two teams. Sall handled Pallares 6-1, 6-1 to pick up her first individual victory of the season.
In the later match against Denver, Colorado picked up three individual victories with Jenny Hanson winning at the #4 spot, 6-4, 6-3, against Crystal Knysh. Randono won at #5 singles against Steph Ginsburg, 6-3, 6-4 and the #6 singles victory went to Martina Sedivec, a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Beth Messaros.
The Denver Challenge will conclude tomorrow before Colorado gets a two-week break before heading to Los Angeles for the All-American Champs Tournament
