
WOMEN NETTERS FALL TO BYU IN REGIONAL SEMIFINAL

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. ? The University of Colorado women's tennis team fell in its central regional match, 4-1 to No. 2 seed BYU, Saturday afternoon at the University of New Mexico.
BYU advances to play host No. 1 seed New Mexico Saturday night in the four-team regional.
The Buffaloes, seeded third received its lone point at No. 1 singles with second semester freshman Lynzee Kever taking a 6-4, 6-1 decision over Lauren Jones. It was Kever's sixth victory this fall in eight attempts for CU. She is also the No. 67th nationally ranked women's player in the nation according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings.
"We competed and played hard, but just came up a little short today," said CU head coach Nicole Kenneally. "We're excited and looking forward for the spring season to start in January."
Colorado's fall season is now complete and sets their sights on the spring opener Jan. 29 at the University of Wisconsin.
