Cyclones Take Buffs In Four

AMES, Iowa ? The University of Colorado volleyball team fell in four sets (25-21, 19-25, 30-32, 15-25) to Iowa State on Wednesday night at the Hilton Coliseum.
CU is now 12-14 overall and 6-11 in the Big 12 while Iowa State improved to 17-11 overall and 9-8 in the league.
Junior Emilee Sisco led the Buffs with 18 kills and hit .326. Lauren Schaefer was second on the team with nine kills and recorded a team-best .333 hitting percentage. Alex Buth and Schylur Edelman each hammered seven kills in the effort.
As a team, the Buffs recorded a .160 attack percentage with 51 kills compared to the Cyclones' 70 kills and a .242 hitting percentage.
Callie Webster recorded 16 digs in the effort and now has 999 career digs in just less than three seasons as a Buff. She looks to become just the 13th player in CU history to record this milestone.
Kaitlyn Burkett picked up another 15 digs and Buth add 12 as the Buffs notched 71 overall. Colorado put up 8.0 team blocks. Edelman led the Buffs with six total blocks; two solos and four assists.
Colorado will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 22 against Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. The match is set for a 6 p.m. start.
