Belassi Wins Consolation Final

SAN DIEGO, Calif. ? University of Colorado junior Camila Belassi capped off three consecutive victories in as many days, defeating fellow CU teammate Franziska Jendrian in straight sets to win the Singles A Consolation Final on the last day of the San Diego State University Fall Classic.
Belassi fell in her main draw singles match on Friday, however, rallied back to win three straight matches without a dropping a set for her 10th win of the fall season. The junior from Paysand?, Uruguay defeated Jendrian 6-3, 6-0, Sunday afternoon.
Belassi ends the fall season having won six of her last eight singles matches.
The three-day SDSU Invite event was the last of the fall season featuring the host Aztecs, Colorado, Oklahoma, San Diego, UC Irvine and Washington.
