Buffs To Open Season At Wyoming Invitational

BOULDER — The 2018 cross country season will officially begin for the University of Colorado on Friday, August 31, at the Wyoming Invitational in Cheyenne, Wyo.

Both teams will run a 5,000-meter course. The women will go first at 6 p.m. and the men will follow at 6:30 p.m. The races will take place at The Little America Golf Course.

Following the Wyoming Invite, the Buffs will have four weeks off to prepare for the next competition. CU will split its squad into two teams. One will head to the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational (Madison, Wis.) on Sept. 28 and the other will go to the Stanford Invitational (Stanford, Calif.) on Sept. 29.

Earlier this week, the women's team was picked second in the USTFCCCA preseason poll, while the men were selected seventh. Â
