Buffs At UCLA And Host Colorado Invitational

BOULDER – The University of Colorado track and field program competes at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational at UCLA Thursday and Friday, and also host the 2021 Colorado Invitational Friday and Saturday.
The UCLA squad consists of the combined event athletes that are competing in the heptathlon and decathlon Thursday and Friday in Los Angeles. The heptathlon squad consists of Elise Gillett, Kara Lucyk, Jada Green, Cheyenne Cheshier, Kylee Harr and Avery McMullen. The decathlon consists of all CU competitors with Nick Bianco, Davis Butte, Wyatt Rhoads and volunteer assistant coach Andrew Ghizzone.
The Buffs will be on full display at home with athletes in every discipline except for the pole vault. Some major events to watch on the women's side include Rachel McArthur leading a quartet of women in the steeplechase, Eriana Henderson leading the women in the 400 hurdles, eight women in the 800, Sage Hurta running the 400 along with Abbey Glynn and others, and teams in both relays.
For the men will have five athletes in the 3,000, five in the 400 and also compete in both relays. CU Football and track athletes Mark Perry and Dimitri Stanley will both join Chris Craig in 100 and Aaron McCoy leads a trio in the 400 hurdles while six different men compete in the four throws disciplines.
The meet Friday and Saturday is closed to the public. Family and friends of CU athletes are allowed to register through their athlete contacts to attend the meet and must maintain a 25-foot distance from athletes and wear a mask when in the facilities. The meet will have live results at cubuffs.com/tracklive.
