Colorado Hosts Miami (OH) and Northern Colorado

BOULDER – The Colorado women's basketball team (7-3, 0-0 Big 12) hosts its last two opponents of the nonconference portion of the season, with Miami (OH) (7-3, 0-0 MAC) on Dec. 14 at CU Events Center at 1 p.m. MT. The Buffs will then turn around quickly to host Northern Colorado (8-2, 0-0 Big Sky) on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. MT.
CU faces Miami Ohio for the second time in program history and Northern Colorado for the 22nd. The Buffs haven't faced the RedHawks since 1998 and have won the last 12 games against the Bears.
Last week, the Buffs won both their matchups against College of Charleston (66-47) and Wyoming (58-46). CU improves to 1-0 against the Cougars and 40-11 all-time versus the Cowgirls.

FLY HAWKS FLY: The Buffs first and last faced the RedHawks in 1998 in Boulder, where the Buffs won by 14, 82-68 (Nov. 28). This is the Buffs' only Mid-Atlantic opponent this season, and CU is 10-0 against MAC opponents all time.
BEARS: The Buffs will meet the Bears for the 22nd time in program history next Tuesday. Colorado last matched up with Northern Colorado in the 2024-25 season where the Buffs defeated the Bears, 81-66. CU is 15-6 against UNCo all-time, and has won the last 12 straight.
#11 GREER: Fr. F Logyn Greer is excited for her first year with the Buffs and is most proud of her 1,000 career points and McDonald's All-American nomination in high school. Outside of basketball, she loves listening to Lil Tjay and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, as well as participating in her favorite hobby: sleeping!
#13 MCERLANE: Jr. G Maeve McErlane is not the only member of her family with a passion for basketball; her brother also plays at Catholic University, where he is a freshman. Additionally, their mother played basketball at LaSalle University, so it is clear that hoops runs in the family. McErlane is a transfer from DePaul University and is excited to find her home in Boulder.

- CU is led by 10th-year head coach JR Payne, who has led the Buffs to a 171-119 (.590) record as CU's eighth head women's basketball coach. Coach Payne has been extended through the 2028 season and has led the Buffs to three NCAA appearances, two WNIT appearances and one WBIT appearance.
- In its second year back in the Big 12, Colorado was picked to finish ninth in the Big 12 Preseason Poll.
- The Buffs return three from last year's roster, including one starter, in Sr. F Jade Masogayo, So. G Kennedy Sanders and 5th C JoJo Nworie.
- Colorado welcomes 10 newcomers for the 2025-26 season, five transfers and five freshmen. The five transfers include Jr. G Zyanna Walker (Kansas State), Jr. G Desiree Wooten (North Texas), Jr. G Claire O'Connor (Gonzaga), Jr. G Maeve McErlane (DePaul) and Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat (Rhode Island). The five freshmen include G Erianna Gooden (Fork Smith, Ark./Northside H.S.), C Jade Crook (Albury, Australia/Basketball Australia Center of Excellence/Lake Ginninderra College), G Isa Hämäläinen (Lorentzweiler, Luxembourg/European School of Luxembourg 1), F Logyn Greer (Lansdowne, Pa./Friends' Central School) and F Sophie Zadel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights H.S).
- Jr. G Zyanna Walker is fourth in conference for steals per game with 2.3. She is also 19th in the Big 12 for assist-to-turnover ratio (1.5) and 21st for assists per game with 3.1. Last week, Walker totaled 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal.
- Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat is third in conference for rebounds per game with 8.5 and 14th for steals per game with 2.1. She totaled 21 points, four steals, two blocks, four assists and 13 rebounds last week.
- Fr. F Logyn Greer is 24th in conference for blocks per game with 0.9. Last week, she had 16 points, one block, one assist and 15 rebounds.
- So. G Kennedy Sanders is 10th in the Big 12 for steals per game with 2.1. Along with five steals, Sanders had 20 points, five assists and two rebounds last week.
- Sr. F Jade Masogayo is 17th for blocks per game (1.0). She totaled eight rebounds, one steal, one block, four assists and two points last week.
- Jr. G Desiree Wooten totaled 21 points, four steals, one block, three assists and seven rebounds last week, and she shot 100% from beyond the arc (5-5).
- As a team, the Buffs are second in the Big 12 for steals per game (12.00), fourth for free throw percentage (74.3%), fourth for combined opponent rebounds (32.1), sixth for team offensive rebounds (13.6) and eighth for rebounding margin (7.7).
