Buffs Qualify Three Individuals, DMR for NCAA Indoor Championships

BOULDER – The Colorado track and field team has qualified three individuals and a relay team to the 2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Championships, set for March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The national meet will be hosted at the Randal Tyson Track Center and streamed live on ESPN+.
Leading the way for the Buffs is Avery Pearson, who will compete in the women's 800 meters. Fresh off her Big 12 Conference 600-yard title, Pearson punched her ticket to nationals with a program-record time of 1:59.98@ at the Colorado Last Chance meet. She closed out the regular season ranked No. 7 nationally in the event across all conditions and enters a highly competitive championship field as Colorado's lone female qualifier.
On the men's side, Colorado's distance medley relay of Justine Kipkoech, Danny Tragarz, Drew Costelow, and Isaiah Givens secured a berth after running a school-record 9:19.00@ at the Colorado Last Chance. The quartet finished the regular season ranked No. 12 in the NCAA. Kole Mathison and TJ Hansen will join the squad as alternates.
Givens and Kipkoech will also double back in the men's mile. Givens has held the nation's No. 1 mark since January with his 3:51.73@ performance at the Potts Invitational, while Kipkoech capped the regular season ranked No. 12 with a time of 3:53.05@ at the Colorado Classic.
The NCAA Division I Indoor Championships will take place March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with both days of competition available to stream live on ESPN+.
