
CU Women's Tennis Fall to No. 32 New Mexico

WESTMINSTER ? The University of Colorado women's tennis team dropped its third match in a row falling to No. 32 New Mexico, 6-1, Sunday afternoon at the Ranch Country Club. The Buffaloes, ranked No. 54 out of 75 schools in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll fall to 6-5, while the Lobos improve to 6-6.
The lone bright spot for CU was at No. 5 singles as Martina Sedivec won her singles match 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6). Sedivec improved to 7-4 this dual season.
In doubles, Jenny Hanson and Lynzee Kever made it two in a row over the weekend with wins. Although they didn't claim the doubles point on Sunday, the CU tandem improved to 6-4 this dual season taking an 8-5 winner at No. 3.
Colorado remains home through the week and will return to Big 12 Conference play March 12 hosting Iowa State. CU is 1-2 in the conference after falling to No. 16 Baylor, 5-2 on Saturday.
