Hutmacher, Willis and Buchanan Earn Top Honors at AFA

Hutmacher recorded a throw of 59-09.50 in the weight throw and Willis earned a mark of 51-05.50 in the shot put. Buchanan raced to his first-ever top finish by finishing the mile run in 4:37.34.
Hannah Warfield-Ruffato earned a four-place finish in the shot put with a personal record of 38-09.75. Kaitlin Kark made her Buff debut in the shot put and the weight throw, earning fifth-place finishes in both events. She recorded a throw of 39-10.00 in the weight and a mark of 37-07.75. Chynna McCall took sixth in the shot put (36-11.75).
James Begley also threw for the Buffs in the shot put and weight throws. He took second to Willis in the shot put with a toss of 47-11.00. Begley placed fourth in the weight with a mark of 54-09.25. Patrick Bachmann took 11th in the shot put (36-01.25).
On the track, Ben Ryan competed in the 800-meter run. Ryan came away with a third-place finish in a time of 2:05.36 in his first race as a Buff. Ryan is a transfer from
