Dodson and Hutmacher Break Balch Fieldhouse Records

Dodson won the 200-meter with a time of 21.67, breaking the Balch Fieldhouse record of 22.03, set by Dave McCloughan of CU in 1988. The meet was Dodson's first as a Cortney Hutmacher recorded her second first-place finish on the year and a Balch Fieldhouse record, in the women's weight throw with a heave of 60-04.50. Hutmacher won the event last week at Air Force in the Buffs' opening meet of the 2007 season, surpassing her 59-09.50 throw of a week ago. Nate Terry led the competition in the Men's 400-meter run, taking first-place with a time of 49.82, while Wil Buchanan won the Men's 600-yard run, coming in at 1:15.45. Amberly Casey and Chelsea Haverty took first and second-place respectively in the women's long jump, with Casey recording a 19-01.50 leap and Haverty an 18-05.75 effort, beating out the other three competitors from Dyamond Seay ran away with the women's 400-meter run top honors, turning in a 1:00.97 time, followed by teammate Troi Smith's finish of 1:03.11. Ryan Willis took first-place with a throw of 53-10.50 in the men's shot put, while Chynna McCall won the women's shot put with a 39-08.50 mark. Hannah Warfield tied for second-place at 38-11.00. The Buffaloes took first and second place in the women's 4x400-meter relay, as the A-team finished with a 4:08.31 time, while the B-team recorded a 4:13.69 finish. Other notable Buffalo results include Campbell's took second-place in the men's 200 yard dash at 22.33, in front of George Pincock's fourth-place finish of 23.02. James Begley finished fourth in the men's shot put at 48-09.50 and second-place in the weight throw at 57-07.50. Zach Hazen was behind Begley in third-place at a 56-02.00 mark. In the women's 600 yard run, Veronica Maul finished second with a time of 1:30.91, while Sarah Price took third-place at 1:32.93. Blayne Kelly's 9.28 was good enough to finish second in the women's 60-meter hurdles, alongside her fourth-place time of 27.98 in the 200-meter dash, while Anna Chase turned in a fifth-place finish of 11:27.20 in the women's 3000-meter run. In the women's shot put, Kaitlin Kark threw for fourth-place behind McCall and Warfield, with a mark of 37-09.25. In the men's 800-meter run, Ben Ryan finished second for the Buffs at 2:03.38, while Kenyon Neuman and Chris Pannone were second and third in the men's 3000-meter run with 8:46.48 and 8:50.77 times respectively.
