Jendrian Earns Two Sunday Finals

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. ? University of Colorado junior Franziska Jendrian won her lone singles match and teamed up for a doubles triumph with Melisa Esposito to reach the finals of both the Singles and Doubles B brackets, respectively, Saturday in day two of the three-day New Mexico Invitational.
Jendrian defeated fellow CU teammate Victoria Almagno 6-2, 6-0 in the semifinals for her third straight singles victory of the tournament, and in doubles paired with Esposito for her second win in as many days, defeating Victoria Tessmar/Jennifer Ryba of New Mexico, 9-7 gaining the Sunday morning final.

In another battle pitting teammates, freshman Abbie Probert edged the Buffaloes other newcomer Christiane Pheil, 6-4, 6-4.
On Sunday, everyone plays at least another consolation match, in addition to remaining doubles tandems.
