BOULDER ? The University of Colorado women's tennis team saw a pair remain unbeaten and another pair fall in the singles main draw in day two of the CU Invitational, Saturday at the South Campus Courts featuring schools from Colorado State, Northern Colorado and Oklahoma.

Sophomores Camila Belassi and Melisa Esposito both lost in their respective semifinal matches to Oklahoma players, while senior Victoria Almagno and freshman Christiane Pheil remained unbeaten in round-robin play.

Belassi fell to OU's Ana-Maria Constantinescu, 6-4, 6-3; and Esposito lost to OU's Chelsea Orr, 6-3, 6-4. It was the first loss for the CU duo in three matches over the two day invitational.

On the CU winners side, Almagno made in three-for-three in singles wins defeating Rachael Cox of Oklahoma, 6-2, 6-3; and Pheil did the same, defeating another OU player, Brittany Baldy, 6-3, 6-4.

In the consolation singles back draw, junior Franziska Jendrian defeated OU's Maria Kalashnikova 6-4, 6-2; and Abbie Probert defeated CU teammate Gleisy Torres Torres, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.

After seven singles match played this season, Almagno, Esposito, Jendrian, Pheil and Probert each have five wins apiece.

Day three of the CU Invite will conclude Sunday beginning with singles and doubles play at 9 a.m.
