ABUAN WINS TWO TITLES AT TOM BENICH CLASSIC

GREELEY, Colo. ? The University of Colorado track & field team had a solid outing today at the Tom Benich Classic here at the University of Northern Colorado on Saturday afternoon.
It was an outstanding day for sophomore sprinter Chris Abuan, who won titles in the 200 and 400 meter dashes despite frigid temperatures and overcast skies. They mark the first titles of the outdoor season for Abuan, who won the 200 in 22.22 and the 400 in 48.07, just six one-hundreths of a second off his personal best of 48.01.
Sophomore Sam Napp was second in the men's 100 meter dash in 11.21, while classmate Brandon Johnson took third in the men's 400 meter hurdles in a time of 54.98 for the other top CU finish.
The women's top finisher was sophomore Hannah Warfield-Ruffato in the javelin. She threw the spear 38.22m to take fourth place. The top women's runner was Katie Kissane in the 3,000 meter run, taking fifth in 10:44.38.
Colorado will be back in action next Saturday, April 10, in Eugene, Ore., at the Adidas Invitational.
